Dr. El Shahawy was honored by the University of Vienna in Austria with the Golden Doctor Diploma for his achievements in the area of early cardiovascular disease prevention, including more than 100 discoveries, publications, and lectures. Learn More
Dr. El Shahawy was the lead author for an article titled the ODYSSEY OUTCOMES II Investigators Efficacy and Safety of Alirocumab Versus Ezetimibe Over 2 Years (from ODYSSEY COMBO II which was published in the American Journal of Cardiology September 15, 2017. Dr. El Shahawy and the Cardiovascular Center of Sarasota was presented with the Top Award for their Scientific Research at the EuroPrevent Conference in April 2017 that was held in Malaga, Spain.
